Meet Eli the Elf!
This year we had a special delivery from Santa. We have heard of the Elf on the Shelf before, but we’ve never had one sent from Santa before! I’m not quite sure who is going to have more fun with Eli though, me or the kids! Hopefully Eli will teach our kids the value of love, grace and forgiveness. Welcome to the family Eli!
I made our letter from Santa introducing Eli by using this free downloadable santa letterhead which I edited to make the writing red to give it a bit more colour. I used this letter as my basis, with some minor alterations to suit my handful of hearts. I just loved the way her letter incorporated Jesus into the elf on the shelf because we all need grace! Once I printed it, I mounted it on some burgundy card stock and I sealed it with a wax seal which looked fantastic!
Eli’s first morning with us, the hearts found him on the kitchen bench. He had gotten everyone’s breakfast ready and was sitting at a dolls table ready to start his breakfast. The kids thought it was great! Baby heart even tried to feed Eli his breakfast!
There was so much excitement over what Eli would get up to last night that there was still movement in the house when we were heading off to bed last night. I was woken by hysterical laughing this morning coming from the kitchen. When I went down to investigate the kids had found Eli having a nap in the cutlery drawer!
